Guest guest
I will check if i do. We have the gator, will they work for yours also? Sent from my Droid Charge on Verizon 4GLTE - Rifton pacer gait trainer forearm prompts Anyone have forearm prompts for a size small pacer gait trainer that they're looking to sell? Kicking myself for not getting them with the insurance claim, but wasn't sure they were gonna approve it and I didn't wanna press my luck. Anyway, they're $400 a pair new so I thought I'd ask here if someone has them available used. Thanks so much!! Kim Mom to D - 20 months, unilateral Pmg “I am learning all the time. Guest guest
could forearm prompts from walkers work too.  Yes always ask for everything with insurance claims. There is no such thing as Cheap pieces for medical equipment. The worst that can happen is they take it off claim. ________________________________ To: polymicrogyria ; Throgmartin Sent: Friday, August 3, 2012 1:18 PM Subject: Re: Rifton pacer gait trainer forearm prompts  Yes very similiar. Guest guest
Thanks for the advice. I wish I would have done that. It took five months to get the approval and then another month until we finally received the gait trainer. He was using it in therapy at the time (14 months old) with the hip positioner and the trunk support and now that he's older and stronger he can almost do it on his own with just the forearm prompts, but we can't practice at home because we don't have them. And when he uses it with the hip positioner and trunk support now he gets lazy and lets the equipment do all the work, and will only walk with his left foot. I've taken the seat off and tried it with just the trunk support and he hates it. Almost falls out of it. It's frustrating that insurance is such a pain in the ass about all these things, and that all of this equipment is so expensive. One could buy a car for the price of most of this equipment. We've already purchased AFO's, a Benik vest, Benik hand splints, and haberman bottles to avoid the really long insurance process. If I am unable to find a used set of prompts through earlyon, wheelchair seating services, or the pmg forums then I'll just go ahead and buy them. He really needs them. > could forearm prompts from walkers work too. Yes always ask for everything with insurance claims. There is no such thing as Cheap pieces for medical equipment.
