Guest guest
Is this for the surgeon’s daily hospital visit? If it is Medicare will only pay surgeon’s Medicare allowable fee schedule. There is no additional payment for hospital office visit and post surgery office follow up visit. Austria Specialty Contracting Methodist Health System 1441 North Beckley Avenue Dallas,Texas 75203 Phone: Fax: From: TxFinancialCoordinators [mailto:TxFinancialCoordinators ] On Behalf Of cfegley Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2008 3:04 PM To: TxFinancialCoordinators Subject: Living Donor Kidney Transplant HELP!!!!! Medicare is denying a claim for the living donor portion for physician charges during the inpatient stay. Denial states " won't pay daily care for inpatient " on the donor. I know I was told to use the Q3 modifier indicating a living donor; does anyone know if this has changed or know what I can tell the physician's office to get the claim paid by Medicare? Thanks.
