Guest guest
I did not use a sit me up, but a thick, stiff, and firm nursing pillow. It looked nearly the same. The pillow came up to Elaras mid back, so it didn't help much with head or neck support. I guess it depends what you want to use the sit me up for. We did a lot of physio for her neck control around a year. They were kind of like crunches. We would hold her at a slight angle off the ground and she would start to lift her head forwards. She is 18 months old now and had very poor head control at a year. Now she sits unassisted and walks along furniture. This is my all time favourite swim protector for babies or children unable to hold their heads up. I've seen them locally in the stores here (I'm in Canada) and they are friggen amazing. http://www.mountainbaby.com/product-Salus_Bijoux_Baby_Life_Jacket_9_25_lbs.html > Summer is near and I am trying to find a few things that will help our son (1 yr on the 15th) enjoy the pool/beach safely. He does Not have complete head control. I've looked at many rafts and jackets, but none seem to suit his needs or he is too big or too small. Any suggestions? > > Also thank you for all the wonderful suggestions for bday gifts. He is getting many useful and wonderful things. Guest guest
Google Water Way Babies. They sell neck ring floats that actually work & are reasonably priced. We have one of the small sized & our 3yr old can still use it at 27 pounds. Our 7 yr old (both have significant disabilities ) uses the middle size. They can be semi independent floating with these. The owner of the company is easy to work with & can answer sizing questions. Guest guest
Thanks. My little one is hard to fit. His body is a good size for his age but his head is smaller than average. Since The ng tube was put in 4 weeks ago, he has gained over 3 lbs and grown an Inch. Sorry, i am so proud of his progress. Just sent a message to water way. Can't wait to see him swimming around. Guest guest
It really looks awkward but seems comfortable and chloe loved it after a couple minutes. She was able to move so freely in the water. My older daughter played in it too just for fun she loved it also Sent from my Droid Charge on Verizon 4GLTE - Re: Water safety > > I did not use a sit me up, but a thick, stiff, and firm nursing pillow.
