Guest guest
My son is 9 and has autism....just diagnosed. We have been trying to get him diagnosed since he was 2. Nobody wanted to " label " him. We have been gf/cf for a little over 2 months now. He has always tired easily and had low muscle tone. His DAN! is attributing it to a mitochondrial dysfunction (from the oats test not a muscle biopsy) I am starting to get worried as he seems to be getting worse. He wakes up tired and by 2:00 in the afternoon, he is absolutely exhausted....doesn't even want to play. He also has odd aches and pains. Everyday it is somewhere different. His neck, hand, legs, back etc... He has been on a mito cocktail for a little over a month now and his DAN says he should be feeling better not worse. He takes a daily multi, folinic acid, CO - Q10, Acetly L carnetine, vitamin C, zinc, fish oil. But, he hasn't made any other suggestions of opinions of what could be wrong. I am starting to get worried. What do you think? Is this normal? Could it be something else? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are very new to all this and not sure where to go next. We are going to be starting MB12 shots soon but, I am not sure if I should look into the why's of this before we start them. Thanks!!!
