Forgot to mention – I already tried

the Aetna National Medical Excellence and as the patient does not yet have a

plan number they cannot look up the benefits. So, trying to see if I can find

someone who has developed the plan for that the employees are now signing up

for (to be effective 1/1/09).

Does anyone have a

contact for Home Depot who could help define the Aetna

benefits for an employee? Seems Home Depot switching from United to Aetna on 1/1/09 and we need some specifics about his

transplant benefits (and other out-of-network benefits). I would like to

talk to someone at Aetna or Home Depot who

knows the plan specifics.

Thanks – the patient’s wife mentioned this

to me. But they are concerned it may not be approved? They are leaning toward

staying with the United for one more year (which is an option but more costly)

to be certain to continue transplant coverage with us (they have live donors to

soon be worked up). Eval almost done with United (Optum).
