Guest guest
We have some frozen, organic, heritage goose for sale again this year. We will be selling them at the Local D'lish Winter Market this Saurday, November 15th, from 10am-2pm. See www.localdlish.com for info and directions. If you want one, contact us to reserve one. We have both Toulouse and Pilgrim geese. They were hatched by their Mom's and raised in organic pastures and were also fed sprouted grains, mixed with our premium soy-free, organic, duck feed with flax and Icelandic kelp, and Azomite and Dyna-Min mineral supplements. These are super-premium geese, fit for a Presidential dinner. If Nicolas Zarkosy calls you on the phone, you can invite him over for dinner. The geese range in size between 8 and 10 lbs. and we sell them for $10/lb. Each goose will yield about a quart of goose fat from a very healthy goose. Goose fat is historically considered to have medicinal properties. Geese eat lots of herbs. Dr. Roy Ozanne told me that duck fat was good for the heart, and goose fat was good for everything! Use it to roast potatoes and vegetables, fry omelettes (without any bitter after taste), pop popcorn, etc. For cooking ideas see http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=17336306 I made two videos of our geese this September. See where your food comes from. Botan and Patti Mystic Prairie Eco-Farm
