Are you hoping for your symptoms to

improve with the month of iron? Or what is your thinking on taking the

month of iron? It might take longer for you to notice improvement.

Iron levels do not come up overnight. They take a while to build.

Maybe others might have an idea of a time frame.

Re: Help with iron test results

I just hope I can get help from a doctor soon. I’m going to

pray that Dr. Corkran will treat me. I’m just not sure if I should do the

month of iron first, finish the ultrasound from the gyn to get her opinion on

why my uterus is enlarged, etc. or just go ahead and make the appt. I’m

afraid she’ll just tell me to wait and see if the anemia thing goes away

and I’ll be fine. I wish I had the money to go to Hotze.

The doc wants to retest after a month to

see if it budges I suppose. I’m not holding out any hope for a particular

time frame. I know I didn’t arrive at this stage overnight and it may

take a long time to get better. I’ll just be glad when I can feel like I’m

really doing something that will work to better my health and well being. I’m

just grabbing at straws for the moment. J

I’m taking the iron twice (50mg) now

and will go to the 75 mg after I make sure the 2 are still ok on the tummy. So far, so good. The B Complex made

me feel better for a while till they seemed to wear off in the afternoons, At

least my B12 was 431 so I must be holding on to it. I don’t know what it

was prior to starting the sups.

I hope you are doing this under a doctor's care and monitoring. Even

otc supplements can be hazardous without knowing what's going on.

My doc prescribed a pharmaceutical strength of B12, B6 and folic acid

called Metanx. It's only available through a prescription. My B12

started out low in the range, and even though the top of the range

for my lab test is 1100, he likes it to be >2000. It went up over

2000 really fast.

Yes, my first tests were 1/23 and I'm supposed to go in another month to

check the levels. Even after 3 months of Bs, no one has thought that 431

was low or any mention of it. I'm sure it's cuz they don't know.
