Guest guest
Just a question for some of you homeschooling and school moms: How do you know when your child is ready to learn phonics? I put the following seven flashcards out for :_ap, _at, _ag, _ad, _ab, _am, and _an. He doesn't seem to get the concept yet of substituting the difference beginning sounds, he is so used to sight words. Do I need to pursue this daily or just wait? He's been able to read sight words for a long time. I don't know if he's not ready, or what. He talks a lot, just the other day as we were driving in town, he said " I want a blue cake with frosting on it, and I want to eat the whole time " . As I drove past the store, he said " You missed it " and " Turn around " . is 10 years old. Marsha
