Medicare Help with CIGNA Out of Pocket?

·

CIGNA is primary – our center

is out-of-network so the patient is responsible for 30% of transplant costs up

to $4500 per year.

·

Patient also has Medicare A & B

secondary (based on disability).

·

How would Medicare help with that

$4500?

·

Also, would the out-of-network status

affect the medication copays or anything else? Lahey is in network with

CIGNA for the patient’s medical services.

Realize I should know the answer to these questions but other

input always so valuable.

Thanks so much!
