I love the flavor on the tongue and it has a caramel resemblance. I have noticed a slight flare in the back of the throat right after swallowing (barely, but that's the only difference I can tell with it compared to other sweeteners and most people probably wouldn't notice that). And for the $40 price tag, I definitely use it sparingly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered mine directly through Body Ecology's website www.bodyecology.comsince I haven't seen it carried anywhere else...yet.
