Guest guest
>>>>>Hi, Trish! Sorry - I wasn't clear. It's not that I'm having trouble *imagining* a woman with Aspergers. Just off the top of my head, however, I couldn't think of any I could actually recall, particularly in the group - it seemed like all the " Aspies " being referenced were males. <<<<< Ha , Don't worry and excuse me..... I wasn't clear too. I should have added a few ) here and there. ) I know the statistics in ASmen vs ASwomen and I am even more quite of an oddity here (I mean here = the Netherlands) being AS and an woman and even dx ADD as well. I am even more an oddity being married with 3 kids and still coping. And now it is getting real odd..... I am AS and ADD and I am extravert as well!!! I must be the most non-AS-aspie you know ) Talking about prejudices (well not you.... the world I am referring too). But what/however labeled or no and however characterized NT we can learn from each other.... of course ) Trish I am sorry I am just in a gorgeous mood ) that is a laughing smiling joking mood for I went to a meeting today with all aspies and as the tv program said: I am an aspie but you cannot tell (from the outside) so I just had a meeting with my 'people', my 'tribe' )) Trish (autist inside)
Guest guest
An extraverted Aspie! I am amazed. I can perform " externally " , and even the people at work scoff when I tell them that I'm extremely introverted, but the external behaviors just drain me. I have learned over the years to compartmentalize when I can't get time to recharge. I used to always be doing several things at once, but don't do that much now. What has replaced it is having one " track " running whatever I'm engaged in at the moment, and the other running a " relaxation track. " Part of me running the batteries down, and the other part trying to recharge them. I can't do it for days on end, however. Any of that make sense? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
