Attending

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to teach a child to attend to books with

another person. likes books on his own but not when I try to read to him.

Any suggestions for teaching joint attention when looking / reading a book? And

also the type of book that may be suitable, is 7.3 years old and

non-verbal.
