Honeycomb vendors and Organic farming livestock and supplies

This is a two part post:

1)I'm looking for an apiary that sells straight honey comb in larger

quantities, 2lbs or more and allows pickup at the apiary.

If anyone knows an apiary that provides such service please lemme know!

2)We own a 40 acre farm in Stockholm, WI which is mostly hobby farm at

the moment except for a few laying hens. We'd like to start raising

meat birds (chickens and turkeys) and market them to the TradFoods

community and locally as well as get a cow for personaly dairy

production and possibly expand in to small scale commercial dairy

production. We would like to do this all organic protocol and grass

fed, hormone and antibiotic free. Furthermore we want to grow herbs

and veggies to bring to market, again, organic protocol.

The problem is everyone around us factory farms and we're completely

new to all of this so we don't really have anyone to learn from first

hand, nor do we even know where to begin to buy healthy livestock or

organic feed for the poultry during winter, seed, etc, etc.

So basically what I'm looking for is any and all help from those

who've done it and recommendations on sources for quality livestock,

feed, and info/books and anything else ya'll think we should know.

Stockholm is in western wisconsin right near Lake Pepin so obviously

the closer the sources, the better.

Thanks a lot for any help!

My husband and I are dreaming of doing something similar.  While we are still

city dwellers, we have read many of the books by Salatin on sustainable

farming.  There is also a country living " bible " by Carla Emory that is a great

start.

Good luck.
