I was "decaffeinated" for quite a long time while I was taking methotrexate alone for RA, and the stuff wasn't working worth a damn. I'm still taking a small amount of metho along with Remicade and I still can't tell that the metho is doing anything, but my rheumatologist says to keep taking it...okay:) I do drink caffeinated coffee now. This could be like a lot of other things that what works for one person does not for another.
