Guest guest
I know several people that wore the support belts, my sister-in-law being one of them (she was carrying twins) and none of the children had problems w/plagio. This doesn't necessarily mean that it may not have been a contributing factor, but it wasn't for the folks I know.

Guest guest
Hi Belinda! I have fit women, in the past, with several types of pregnancy belts and/or back braces. I don't believe the belts put any more pressure on your baby than your muscles normally would. Generally, they lift from the bottom of your belly. Elevating pressure and transferring the weight so it's easier on your back. It's not like a girdle that is cinching you in! I truly believe you wearing that belt did nothing to harm ! For what all my opinion is worth. During my pregnancy I had developed cramping during my 7month, dr advised to wear support belt to see if that would help. Could that have caused the uterus to have less room for expansion, therefore creating a smaller area for my son to move???!!! Belinda (Indiana) Tired of missing calls while online? Guest guest
Great things can come from brainstorming! But, sometimes it's just plain ole' worrying. I bet alot of us have thunked our heads going, "I should have known! Why didn't I (fill in blank here)!". I, for one, always worry that people (including the doctors) are thinking I never picked my child up and her head was flat because she was neglected and lying lonely in her bed. Oh well. More and more people are becoming aware of the problem. Doctor's are being dragged kicking and screaming into the light. Websites and clinics are cropping up that deal with this. I have faith it's going to be ok. I tell parents and people in the professional community when I come in contact with them. That way I know I might be able to make a difference, at least locally. This is going to be a very short detour in medical history. They'll get back on track. Unfortunately, our children were born before the doctor's had a V-8 moment ("I could have told her to vary her baby's position" (hand to forehead) C./subscribe/Plagiocephaly ----- Original Message ----- From: bgles2@...
