Guest guest
Can anyone tell me if Medicare will cover private duty nursing? Situation is a pt who exhausted LT max insurance benefit after lung transplant and is still inpt post-transplant. He does not qualify for medicaid due to family income/assets. Patient developed renal failure and is on HD, so he will qualify for ESRD Medicare. However, he needs a pediatric Rehab or home private duty nursing due to multiple medical needs. Trying to figure out how we can make any discharge arrangements, and need to know if Medicare will pay for private duty nursing (peds patient). Any input is greatly appreciated.
