Guest guest
I am new to this whole traditional foods way of eating, but I have already learned a ton from all of you. I also took a nutrition class from Nutritional Weight and Wellness back and March and that is where I first learned about ogranic foods, coconut oil, and that I don't need to be afraid of fat. Thanks you all so much and thank you, , for pointing me in the direction of this group. Since I am new to this way of eating I don't really feel that I can offer much good advice, which is why right now I am more of a lurker. I know as my son grows older and I have more time on my hands I will learn even more because I will have more time in the kitchen to try new things (I also work full-time so my time is at a premium!). Recently I become involved with a new web site sponsored through Kare11 called Momslikeme.com, and am one of the site moderators. This is a web-based social network for moms in the local area. You may have seen some ads on Kare11 promoting the web site. I've posted a few things about food that I'm comfortable with, but recently a woman posted a question I couldn't answer, but I know many of you can. This got me to thinking, it would be nice to have a group on Momslikeme.com that talks about good, nurishing foods. This woman has an anxiety disorder and wanted to see if she could manage her anxiety through changing her diet. I have no idea what to tell her and she knew nothing and didn't know where to start. If there are any moms out there who would consider joining th web site and starting a group please let me know and I can get you more details. I'm not sure how big the group would be, my guess is that it would be small to begin with, and with time grow, but it would be nothing as big as this chat group. Your time would be minimal. Please email me off list if you would have an interest in starting such a group. Thanks for your time, marie PS. Although I'm looking for someone to start this in the TwinCities area, I should mention for all the other moms out there in other states, if you interested in Momslikeme.com take a look because we have over 80 locations throughout the nation.
