Thus, the categorized foods can be lifted out easily to access those stocked on the bottom. We buy a large quanity of milk/per trip and freeze (leave air space!) in half gallon canning jars; which, jar and milk/broth/any liquid, need to be cooled to 40 or less degrees before freezing or jar will crack). Those, six per crate, rest on the freezer bottom. Broth (again, leave air space and cool to 40 degrees!) replaces milk as supply is used. The crates on the next level house meats (gr. beef, liver, and other small meat packages together; lg. roasts, poultry, etc., in others). The top sliding baskets (designed with freezer) contain veggies, fruits, small broth containers. You'll be amazed at what you can organize into even a mid size deep freeze with proper containers.
