PROTECTION THROUGH GIVING

The prophet Malachi later pointed out to the Hebrews why they had come

into hard times: they were no longer tithing. " Bring the full tithes

into the storehouse . . . and thereby put me to the test . . . if I

will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an

overflowing blessing. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it

will not destroy the fruits of your soil; and your vine in the field

shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. Then all nations will

call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight. " (Malachi

3:10-12)

Thus protection as well as prosperity is assured to those who

recognize God as the source of their supply and keep attuned to that

source, by returning to God's work at least a tenth of all He has

given them. Of course, tithing is not the only method for becoming

prosperous, but tithing makes it at least ten times easier for a

person to prosper, because he has invoked the highest law of

prosperity and has made contact with the source of all riches, God.

Once you have given, you should expect to receive. Open your mind to

the thought of receiving. The law of receiving is this: Give, then

make way to receive. Fillmore has advised: " You must prepare

your consciousness for the inflow of the universal substance. "
