It is VERY important that they have comments and input for goals for the district - from parents whose children are receiving Special Education Services!!!!!!!!!!!! ~~~ M. To gather input we have a form available in an open-ended form. Your input is extremely valuable to the Board of Trustees as they develop goal priorities for 2008-2009. > > > M. Guppy I couldn't find a form online (send it to me if you find it please) but the public hearing on goal-setting is Thurs, Jan 31, 7-9pm at Francone Elem (11250 Rd). I say that all of us in CFISD show up in force and ask what they propose to do about the growing autism population and demand attention. I'd like a special campus...not gonna happen...so a special class on each campus...? Again,...not gonna happen. It's not expensive but they can't wrap their little brains around it. It's easier to give special attention to sports and GT and alternative campuses and ...oh never mind...I'm going off on a tangent. I mean they have bilingual classes and a deaf ed campus at Hancock and who know what other special pops are being catered to...OK...I'm doing it again...but that's the sort of stuff we need to present to them. There's probably enough of our kids at each campus to fill a whole classroom.

Absolutely, why not? I don't have a babysitter and have to take my kids almost everywhere I go. I think they NEED to see the need that we're talking about. Although, we may not even get a chance to talk...that's usually the way these ISD hearings go...from what I've heard. And then they'd just think there's a bunch of unruly kids in the room.
