Summer Camps or programs for Autistic Children

Do you know of any day camps for children with autism? My son will be

3 and I, like another mother here, wants to have some continuity with

my son over the summer break. Do y'all have any suggestions?

Another option is hiring a teenage and sending them with your child to church

day programs in the summer. Most churches are pretty open to including

kids....IF they have the additional support they need.

I am not sure what area you live in?? If you are in the Dallas area......I know

that KidSpeak, LLC (a private practice in the dallas area) has lots of yearly

and summer groups for children on the autistic spectrum of all ages and for all

levels. You can find out more at www.kidspeakdallas.com

My daughter's school, Spectrum of Hope in northwest

Houston (off Huffmeister Rd) offers a summer program.

Am not sure if they only serve kids who have been a

part of their programs in past, but wouldn't hurt to

ask. Their number is .
