Guest guest
You're welcome. When I was a child, my main problem was severe allergies. These were so bad, that I had nearly constant ear infections and couldn't really do a lot. When I was in seventh or eighth grade, I wasn't quite 5 feet tall and only weighed about 55 pounds because of the allergies. Later in high school I only got up to about 5'4" and 100 pounds. Today I'm still 5'4" and average about 145 to 150 lbs. Still, my lung capacity is low for my age and size, which is a problem. Anyway, as a child, I could do some things like the others, just couldn't play sports or anything. I went to some sports camps but that never went over well mostly because the other players would see me as a weak link and take advantage of it. Needless to say, the other players on my team didn't like me being on the team because of that. I do wish you luck and I hope things work out. Again, thank you for your kind words, .RavenCo-AdministratorNeed a new ride? Check out the largest site for U.S. used car listings at AOL Autos. I was a sickly kid too and it wasn't easy, and that wasn't even potentially fatal illness ... <snip> ... " Thank you for your comments, . I am struggling quite badly at the moment and what makes this worse is that I cannot allow myself to be anything but my usual self around Cub. Even when he is asleep, I have to be careful because if he hears me crying, he will come to me and ask what's wrong. He caught me crying the other night and I told him that I was just overtired and when I'm overtired, I cry. I am tired and it is true that I tend to be more emotional when I am very tired but that was not the sole reason for the crying. That being said, he does not need to know all the reasons I was crying. I have spoken to a couple of experts on this illness and I am realizing that I cannot even go away on a vacation without first going to the specialist with my itinerary so I can be given a list of specialists along the way who are available to help should things go suddenly amiss. There's more but you can imagine if we have to start rejigging our lives to accommodate a simple vacation (even if it's just a day trip out of town), imagine what else has to be done just to carry on a somewhat 'normal' existence. I just keep praying that Cub is part of the 2 in 3 that lives with this diagnosis even though it will shorten his lifespan. Again, thank you for your kind words, .
