Guest guest
oh, one more thing i remember spring isd telling me when there was no chance of regression... we wish we had some place for him. we just don't want him going to xyz school for the summer because that's where all the behavior issue students go and we don't him to be physically harmed. bottom line is they probably were at staff/student ratio capacity and/or didn't have a teacher available for students like him - and they were in the process of demoing school buildings that summer hoping the bond referndum would pass - it didn't. excuses, excuses. My child was in the ppcd program in the dfw area when we lived there. however, you must push the issue. you really need to look up all the education laws under texas government. They really helped me out. For a while I didnt realize that I had the final say so on certain issues. Finally after learning the laws, I just had to stand my ground and when i started quoting laws that I had wrote down then they started listening. I will look again for the website for those laws and also try to get the lawyers name that works probono on these cases. Most of the time all you have to do is mention his name and they start jumping. He has a reputation of getting funding frozen until they comply. Give me a day or so and i will get that info for you.
