Guest guest
Hello, I am doing a VB program with my daughter. I have a local consultant and myself and do about 10 hours a week with my 8 yr old little girl. Locally, there is an autism spectrum support group but generally the focus is on behavior--not language. I'd like to start a small casual study/support group in Brevard County, Florida where the primary purpose would be to exchange ideas on how to develop language. (This list is great-- but I feel like it would be good to have face to face contact where local resources could be discussed, perhaps even viewing each others videos and etc.) I have lots of materials--some I've given away but others even though I'm not comfortable enough with my daughters level yet, I'd be willing to loan. I did a fairly formal ABA program for 4.5 years. My daughter did make progress and got a great deal of functional language. She is not conversational. With VB, we are seeing some things get tied together. Anybody interested in such a concept of a group, please e-mail me privately at: nancyriley@.... I live in Brevard County Florida in the Melbourne area.
