Hi

Hi everyone, I hope you guys are having a great week! Today is my

birthday, but we're so busy the celebration will have to wait until

this weekend. We started Tomatis with Sky yesterday. I think for

her first day & to be in a strange environment w/strangers she did

really well. I'm not sure if this is connected or a happy

coincindence, but yesterday afternoon she said her first 3 word

sentence, " Here I Come " !!!!! She said it 3 or 4 times before I

realized what she was saying. Of course when I tried to get her to

repeat it for me she wouldn't. lol Our nanny told me this morning

while the girls were watching Teletubbies she kept saying " Big Hug "

everytime the teletubbies did. To us this is just amazing! I can't

believe how many words she is saying now. She's come a long way in 3

months. I know she doesn't truly understand all the words that she

says, but I'm thrilled that she's trying to copy sounds & words.

I'm pretty exhausted & I'm afriad it's only going to get worse.

Counting the drive time & therapy, Tomatis is taking about 5-6 hours

out of our day. If it helps Sky though it will be more than worth

it. If I could get rid of this insomnia it would help things too.

Well I better run & start getting us packed for therapy this

afternoon.

I was denied Medicaid after waiting more than 90 days and told to contact Social Security. It took 6 months to be denied by them and referred back to Medicaid.........that's when I got a lawyer and, 3 years later, had my appeal hearing - and won my SS, thankfully. But as I am in Louisiana, everything takes MUCH longer.....from what I've been reading, it seems that things move much faster anywhere else......

Good luck!

Chris

Thanx I know Medicaid takes 90 days. so yea it takes a while right nowI live in NYC and because of a mix up I was denied mind you I'munemployed and they claim I have to much money in the bank. LMAO itwas like 100 dollars in saving I think. Oh well I keep procrastinatingI hate going to the bureaucracy but it time for my check up so I'mhoping to see a dr. by the summer.
