I've been to her office, but for Bio-identical hormones. I've seen on

SuzanneSomers.com's forum that she's a very nice lady and knows her

stuff about thyroid. I was seeing her during her short affiliation

with the now-defunct Menopause Clinics of America, but they have a

month long waiting list now. Her staff is very nice as well.

You might want to try Launius in ville. No insurance. No Medicare, but very reasonable prices.

Is there any database for Texas docs that will work with you on hormones -- including usage of bio-identical hormones? I'm in Houston and would like to see a doc that will also work with an insurance company. I know that Dr. Hotze is here, but he is out of my price range at this time. Thanks, Janet

I'm going to see Dr. at Clear Lake OBGYN on Thursday;

let's see how this goes. They have a website, just google them up.

Holding out hope on this one.

Hi Amy,

Are you going to see her as a regular ob/gyn, or for thyroid treatment? I'm in the market for a new female ob/gyn. The one that I have had for the past few years really dropped the ball on my fibroadenoma and has moved offices 4 times in 6 months. Something is up! Let me know how you like her... I'm in League City and it would be nice to have someone close.

Thanks,> To: Texas_Thyroid_Groups > Date: Tue, 15 Apr 2008 06:18:58 -0500> Subject: Re: Doctor> > I'm going to see Dr. at Clear Lake OBGYN on Thursday;> let's see how this goes. They have a website, just google them up. > Holding out hope on this one. > > Amy > >

--I never said I " found " someone, I said I'm going to see her

for Bioidenticals. If I like her, I'll KEEP going for BioID.

Probably see her for OBGYN stuff too, but later, and I still refuse

to take a mammogram. All I can say is call her for an appointment and

see if you like her--I will also post a full report here. If she,

like that idiot ston, wants to drug me up, I get up and walk

out. I don't think so, but at first I thought ston was a

wonderful Adonis in a white coat, too, so. . .I go in with open eyes.

Actually, for thyroid, I confess, in 2 years, Armour has done nothing

for me, so two weeks ago, I went back to using Thyodine from The

Green Willow Tree. I just went from using Armour one day to using

Thyodine the next, and do not feel worse like I did when I ran out of

it 2 years ago. Not sure why, but the " bigger " black skirt I made

when the 20 pound weight gain started is a little bit loose today,

but I can't say for sure just yet if it's a " weight loss. " Also

added their Adrenal Aide, and will start on their SubAdrene soon.

This is after I got more HC, but. . .

I did much better on these OTC products, so for me. . .I can't

recommend them to everyone across the board, because I can't say what

they will do for anyone else. Green Willow Tree has a number of

hormone products as well, and that's next on my list if Dr.

doesn't pan out. GWT also has an ND that will do phone consults, and

depending on the outcome of Dr. , she may be on the list.

Dr. Connie is her name, and she specializes in neuroendocrinology.

I'm not knocking Armour Thyroid or anyone who takes it! I'm just

saying that in 2 years, it didn't work for ME. Armour replaces

thyroid hormones, whereas Thyodine stimulates the thyroid to work on

its own. No wonder I thought I was going to die when I stopped

taking it!

Well, at least you can go in with your eyes wide open! She MAY be a

good Thyroid doctor too....hehehe...especially if she believes in

Bioidentical Hormones!

Moved offices 4 times in 6 months? That sounds very suspicious to me. 4 times, hmmmmm. Once I could see, but 4 times no way.

Yeah... I don't know what is going on. She was a great ob/gyn, but after having her own practice, she joined a group of other women ob/gyn's, and I'm guessing had a falling out with them. I "fired" her and my old surgeon because of the way they handled everything.

One of our former members spoke very highly of Caldwell, who was not taking new patients at the time.

There is one entry in the database for Elhaj. He sounds worse than bad.

Yeah, I saw Dr. Elhaj a few years ago. I was having an allergic reaction to the minute amount of steroids in Nasonex. My face swelled up, stopped my periods and gained 20 lbs. His response? " I don't know what is wrong with you...why don't you see if this just goes away and come back in three months. " He really acted like he didn't care...the truth was he just didn't know. I asked him to run some tests and he refused. I told him he was a horrible doctor and person in general for taking such a lack of care in me. I seriously doubt he is one to prescribe anything but synthetics.

Does anyone know ANYTHING on either,Dr. Jody Caldwell in The WoodlandsorDr. E. Elhaj in Houston/Redoak?

I would NOT recommend Dr. Shari Fox or Dr. Sakina !!!! I just sawboth and both read labs!De------------------------------------
