I had to see my internal medicine doctor today, he has treated me for

the last two years. I've not seen him since seeing Dr. R in Nov. and

Dec. and being diagnosed as hypo and starting my new meds. This joker

thought all my medical problems could all be solved through Vit. B-12

injections. I went to see him for a UTI today.

He burst into the room demanding that I have my B-12 injection

because I've missed so many of them. I told him I was taking B-12 in

a different form and told him I was taking Foltx. He was sure that

this wasn't making me feel better and told me it was ineffective and

also surmised I didn't need the folic acid. He told me I was feeling

terrible, I corrected him and told him since starting Armour I still

have good and bad days but I am feeling better. He stopped and

stared and asked me why I would take Armour (translated as why would

you take that poison).

I did take a little bit of joy in telling him that I finally found

out what was wrong with me and I finally found a doctor that

diagnosed me. He asked what the diagnosis was and didn't allow me to

finish. (Here comes the funny part) He rushed to his computer and

pulled up my last lab. He shouted, " There's nothing wrong with your

thyroid! I already checked it. See here... your TSH is NORMAL! " I

couldn't help but smile when I (tried to)educated him. Of course he

interrupted me. He did have to admit I was correct about the UTI. He

rushed out of the room. He decided the visit was over.

This visit today just makes me glad that I did take the trip to

Lubbock after being so sick for 3 years and having to put up with

doctors like this joker. Dr. R. actually listens to his patients,

unlike this doctor. Anyone still wondering if the trip to Lubbock is

worth it, I say it definitely is. Even though this dr. didn't listen

to me, it's okay because now I do have Dr. R that does listen to me

and wants to see his patients get better.
