That may be true enough, Pat.

What I'm trying to find out is how to define " conditioning " . Can't

find the word in either of my dictionaries. I've read and heard so

often that certain oils will give soap a conditioning lather, but

really I haven't a clue what is meant by that. Does anyone?

Sue,

This is a term that can mean just about anything that you want it to mean.

There is no standard definition that can apply to all uses of the term in

personal care products.

Cosmetic Definition

Could someone please post the cosmetic definition for " conditioning " ?

i.e. If a certain skin care product is conditioning, exactly what does

that mean?

Thanks!

Sue,

In this context it is meaningless. It is part of the marketing fluff that is

cosmetics.
