“ABA IN PLAIN ENGLISHâ€

A workshop for grandparents & caregivers of Children on the Autistic Spectrum

March 6th , 2004

9:00am-5:00pm(Registration 8:30am)

For those involved in intensive behavioral programming, there is pressure to

be on-task and consistent 24 hours a day. It can seem quite daunting,

particularly when you're not sure exactly why you are doing what you are doing.

In this seminar, the reasons for the need for consistency will be spelled out

in common English.

Key topics in behavioral programming, including generalization, how and when

to reinforce and why, how and when to ignore behavior and why, teaching

alternate behaviors will be covered.

This seminar is aimed at those who serve in care-taker roles for children

with autistic-spectrum disorders and who are not necessarily involved in

intensive teaching efforts.

Cost:$50.00 Members/ Non-Members $75.00 Walk-In

$100.00 (includes

Coffee & Bagels ~ Lunch)
