Guest guest
Hi all, I’m posting this letter for my friend’s autistic son who indeed needs help. He’s 10 now, and this is his problem: Since last month, after a vacation out of town with family, he started making water too often during all day long: every 15 minutes in the morning and every five minutes in the evening. Many times, right after having pee and putting on trousers, he puts it off again, tries to make water but there was no water anymore. Medical test shows no infection. His pediatrician said that it could be a signal of sexual arousal (but he seems not old enough to have that). His mother said there was nothing special happened to him during vacation time so she really doesn’t know what cause his problem. The only way to stop him from going to the bathroom too often is: taking him out to the supermarket, playing game… But this trouble lasts for more than a month already and she doesn’t know what to do except waiting. I wonder if anyone have experienced this problem and whether behavior intervention would help, and HOW? (I myself have an autistic son too, he’s only 3 – it’s still early to think about the above problem could happen to him later, but I can't help worrying!) Thanks in advance for any input. Regards.
