Hello all,

I'm sending a request for everyone regarding housekeeping etiquette with our posts.

**Snipping Threads**

While it's fine to keep the previous email that you're responding to in your post, keeping the entire thread is not. A lot of times we end up with posts with weird line breaks, additional carats (> or >> or >>>), and multiple layers of the Yahoo! messages that tag onto the end. For people who read this in plain text, or those who get the digest version, it makes reading the message very difficult or downright obnoxious. You may not be aware of this because of how you've set up your account. So... please keep the relevant part(s) of the previous message in and remove the rest when you reply.

**Breaking Long Posts Into Paragraphs**

Additionally, for many of us with thyroid problems (hyper or hypo), reading something that is one long paragraph is really difficult. This means that a post may get bypassed by someone who could really use the information. Please remember to break your posts into paragraphs as appropriate.

**Upper Case vs Lower Case**

While most folks know this, some do not. TYPING IN ALL CAPS IS YELLING! And also difficult to read. Lower case is much easier on the eyes, so if you are at a place where typing is difficult and you're keeping the Caps Lock on so you don't have to shift, please don't. All lower case would be much better if you had to choose.

**Personal Signatures**

Not needed. Please don't use.

Thanks very much!

Karla
