Guest guest
Well to all who attended, I am sure you will agree that was such a dynamic 8 hours! You certainly can never learn enough. The state of the art, the technology and indiviudalism of the ABA programming that goes on at ALPINE..was wonderful. The sad part is, that ALL of our children should be entitled and have available to them this same type of programming and education (particularly if they are in a program branded as an ABA program)..Seeing how they took each child, their deficits and strengths.. and used WHATEVER way possible (from mand training, to initiation training, to the language master , to using texturals, and audio , and video and even " gentle reminders " ) suiting each program, to each child, down to the specific of each skill needed for that child. The video shown was captivating and well rounded. Showing low rate talkers, to high rate talkers, to non verbal as well as high functioning, low functioning, willing and un willing learners.. It really was a nice well rounded put together presentation. What was so beautiful was how they didnt take just one approach to any one child. For those who missed it, we will have her again, and here are the wonderful notes our Workshop Secretary Jennica made to have accessible for those who couldnt make it. Thanks Jennica! And thank you Dr for your wonderful presentation. http://www.elija.org click on Jennica Notes or find them directly on www.elija.org/JennicasNotes.htm Regards
