Guest guest Posted January 16, 2008 Report Share Posted January 16, 2008 Hi Everybody, My name is and I have two sons, Jack(4) and (2). Jack just started PPCD yesterday. He met the criteria for autism (PDD) and speech impairment. We have suspected that Jack had some kind of autism for a long time, but we have gotten a lot of conflicting opinions from professionals. It has been very confusing. is in ECI. His social awareness seems better than Jack's, but his language, interests, and play skills (or lack of them) seem to be following a similar pattern of development. I am confused about that too. They are beautiful, wonderful, happy children and I love them both for who they are. I recently join this and several other yahoo groups and feat- nt. I am glad to finally connect with a group of parents with whom I can relate. I am sure that you will be helpful to me and maybe I can occasionally be of help too.
