Hi,

I just joined the group yesterday. I booked an appointment at the

Lucille Packard Children's Cranial Facial Clinic for Wednesday

Morning. Has anyone had any experience going to the Lucille Packard

Children's Cranial Facial Clinic. Who are the best doctors? Who

should I avoid? What should I expect regarding a first time visit?

My son is 6.5 months old and has very noticeable flattening in

the back of his head. We are very frightened and sad that this

happened and just want it corrected as much as possible. I am going

to push for a band or a helmet despite any suggestions by doctors to

the contrary. Any information you give would be well appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the group. I don't have any experience with the Lucille

Packard Clinic, but hopefully someone here has. You can also search our archives

to see if there have been posts in the past about that clinic.

I understand your feelings - I think almost everyone here has been there.

Believe it or not it does get easier. My daughter wore a helmet starting when

she was 9 months and she finished in about 5 1/2 months. She is going to be 3

in January and we have never once regretted our decision. She didn't mind her

helmet one bit - in fact, she became very attached to it and we thought she

looked adorable in it!

Let us know where you are from. Maybe we have someone here from your area that

can tell you about their experience with some doctors in your area.
