Specifically when: Wednesday, January 23, 2008, from 3:45 (or earlier

if you would like and it can be arranged) to 5:00 P.M.

Specifically where: Renaissance Austin Hotel , the San Room—

hotel located at 9721 Arboretum Boulevard , Austin , TX 78759

Specifically, what is expected of you at the session: To share your

thoughts and feelings about your participation in ARD committee

meetings--- what has or could contribute to increasing your comfort

level and maximizing your active and meaningful participation AND

what has or could contribute to decreasing your comfort level and

minimizing your participation. Second, you are expected to listen to

educators views to the same question. Finally, you will be asked to

collaboratively complete a task with a small mixed group of parents

and educators to identify strategies that can help parents to become

more comfortable, actively, and meaningfully involved in their

child's ARD committee process.
