Breast Cancer Awareness Month

To All: Being a breast cancer survivor, I encourage all of you to check

yourselves regular. I was very regular with my mammograms and never had a bad

report; but in mid April 2000 I discovered a lump in my left breast. On May

9th I had a mastectomy. Then the chemo treatments which I had very few side

effects except the hair loss which has now grew out again. In July my

surgeon found another lump, did biopsy which came back benign; needless to

say that the few days waiting for this report was a time to ask for prayers.

I Thank My Lord and Savior for his touch. At this time I'm doing well in

this area.

Who else in this group has had breast cancer?

Just mainly wanted to encourage self examination.

Be Blessed,

Becky

Thank you for that reminder Becky. And I am sorry for what you had found. I

do self checks because I am only 23 but I know I will have mammograms when I

get older. I have been trying to get my mom to go for one, she has never

gone. But she doesn't listen.

Here it is breast cancer awareness month and it is all over the media about

the need for mammograms. How sad that the populous at large is not even

aware of thermograms at the least being safer. Donna
