Does she need to have an ARD meeting to do so or can she just sign her

out of school?

Well, you do have to officially withdraw a child from school and give the

School written notice that you intend to homeschool your child and

You promise to teach them reading, writing, math and citizenship.

click on the beginner menu and that should be enough to get you

started.

My 6 yr old autistic is currently in a fantastic placement so he will remain in

school as long as things are going well. I do currently homeschool my 8 year old

dd ( ocd, mild aspbergers) and 4 year old dd.

You do have to officialy withdraw your child if he/she is already attending

school. this can be done by either going down to the school and telling them you

are withdrawing ....or you can send a letter to the principal of the school

stating you are withdrawing your child effective ____date. If you do it this way

i suggest sending it certified mail. Keep them home the day you send it .

You are only required to provide a letter of assurance if an attendance

officer requests it. You are not required to tell them what if any curriculum

you are using, provide samples of work...simply a short one page letter stating

that you are teaching the required subjects.

If i can help in any way feel free to e-mail me .
