Guest guest
For a long time we have suspected our 11 year old daughter has PDD. A psychologist diagnosed her with PDD-NOS last year while evaluating her for something else. Her twin brother has autism and was diagnosed at three. We brought the diagnosis to the school and they did not accept it. So we asked the diagnostician to test. Today, she sent home the ASIEP-3 Autism Behavior Checklist for parents to fill out. Has anyone ever used this form? From the 40 questions, all it would seem to diagnose is full blown autism. Is there a better test for the school to use? We did this backwards. First we brought an independent diagnosis that we paid for to the school. Now we are asking the school to diagnose. If we disagree, which seems likely given the test they are using, can we still ask for an IEE even though we already have one? Pam
