Where is my sweet spot? ARGH!

I'm going to whine for a moment... I just can't seem to find that " spot. "

90mg of Armour, I was hypo

120mg of Armour, my T4 is low, T3 is high-normal and TSH is 0.01.

And, my antibodies are back... They were 0 just 4 weeks ago!

I've been having those hyper headaches every day for 2 weeks. I've

put in a call to Dr. R., so we'll see. I'm just getting so frustrated

with all of it.

Free T4: 0.69 (0.58-1.64)

Free T3: 3.39 (2.5-3.90)

TSH: .01 (0.30-5.6) --Yes I know 2 is high!

Total T3 1.33 (0.87-1.78)

Anti-TPO: 8.90

Thyroglobulin Antibodies: 15.0

Has anyone else had to add T4 to their Armour?

Thanks!

Kim,

I actually believe I felt better on a combination

of Armour and Synthroid. I was on Synthroid after my TT and wanted to

switch to Armour. My TSH was high so my endo wanted to up me to 200 mcg

of Synthroid. He let me switch over to Armour so I could benefit for all

the T’s in it. Anyway, I gradually switched over and when I was on 120

mg (equivalency of 148 mcg of T4) of Armour and 50mcg of Synthroid I actually

felt my best. I am currently on 225 mg of Armour and feel more tired than

I was before even though my TSH is finally down to .8 and my FT4 has been

dropping. After my next round of blood work, I plan on going back to

supplimenting 50-75 mcg of Synthroid. There is a great Excel spreadsheet

in the files section of this group that does a great job of showing the

conversion of T4 and T3 between Armour and Synthroid and how long it takes for

your full dosage to be at full strength.

Hope this helps,

Penny

Kim,

Yes, people do and can add T4 to your Armour. Did he check your cortisol?

Ferritin?

Thanks for your reply . Yes, my ferritin and cortisol are both

perfect. My DHEA was really low at my last appt (1000), so I'm back

on that and can definitely feel a difference. I can say that the only

" hyper " symptom I have is having a headache in the back of my

head/neck for about 2 weeks straight. When I was diagnosed with

Graves, I always had those headaches and haven't had them since going

hypo.

It seems to be such a fine line between too little and too much!

Take care,

Kim

I don't remember exactly.. I do know my ferritin was 20-25% (anything

over that and I get too much iron in my blood) and my cortisol was at

the highest end of normal (28, maybe).
