last sat in private therapy, at my request, ot put a weighted vest on my son for

about 30 min. all saturday afternoon, sun, mon & tues we heard babbling - mama,

my mama, nanana, lalala, duhduh. it was awesome. wed the babbling tapered

down, thurs less. fri nothing. this morning nothing. back to private ot today,

he saw the vest and couldn't get it on fast enough and the babbling came back

immediately. today, he said his own name very clearly. i couldn't believe what

i heard.

anyone else have similar success with vest and 'talking'?

I will have to ask my son's teacher about the long tubular weight he uses.

The onsite OT therapist probably provided it so I'll need to find out and let

you know. I do know that OT orders a lot of her therapy aides from South Paw,

a sensory processing disorder/sensory integration products catalog. They

have really cute lap and shoulder weights shaped like animals called kitty

cuddle, puppy hugs, moose masseuse and dolphin wrap, that have velcro clasps.

Their website is below.

Where did you buy the tube? My daughter does not like to wear vests but I think

she

would really like the tube. Thx.
