Guest guest Posted September 3, 2008 Report Share Posted September 3, 2008 Hi Lee Ann-Adam is doing much better, still vomiting up phlegm, but can make it through a night without the " whooping " cough. The stress has come because of the infectious nature of Pertussis, the health dept has gotten involved and all my children need to be placed on antibiotics prophalatically and my husband and I MUST get the booster, no options! My daughter was sent home today b/c of exhibiting symptoms (cold symptoms) and was asked to not return to school until at least Friday.......the health dept stated that they see more and more cases of Pertussis at this age group b/c the Pertussis vaccine isn't holding out until the booster is given.
