Guest guest
Hello All; It is nice to see that my jokes are enjoyed. I try so hard to tell the world that it is perfectly alright to ley one's guard down, laugh, and just enjoy the moment. I could bore you all by bombarding with posts of wisdom but it is clear that there must be a balance of wisdom and humor. When I go to the Buddhist center sometimes, I see some there who are basicly zombies. They just sit and look straight ahead and will only speak if they are spoken to first. They are practicing such things as right ethics, focus, and the constant practice they have of not engaging in nonvirtous talk. I see this as a waste of life. Hey, more power to them and each to their own, but we are here in life to live, to explore, to be silly if we wish. There is nothing lost by doing this as long as it is done skillfully, where no one is offended personally.I suppose it does take wisdom to post a joke tactfully, in good taste and at the right time. It is easily seen that humor and jokes are medicine. There is no one who does not wish happiness or laughter. many wish large houses, fancy cars and the such, but laughter is something necessary for and from the inside. Not material. It is in itself, subtle compassion... allowing someone else a minute, an hour, perhaps longer, the time to excape from the frustrations which life brings. I honestly feel empathy for those who have as much starch in their personalities as they do in their pants lol. I can see the purpose (and I do practice) the virtous aspects of life but without any fear or hesitation, I will do or say something funny. Who here can disagree? I aspire no one. A post that is deep with insight and wisdom... food for the mind vs. a joke which allows the mind to rest and run carefree. It is a beautiful balance. The veils we wear and the shields we carry are nothing but excess weight. Why burdon with them. This is not some profound teaching from scholarly books, it is simple common sense. The balance and how to apply it. Keep on laughing! Compassion To All, Randy Need a vacation? Get great deals to amazing places on Travel.
