Guest guest
Doing some homework here as my son is 19 1/2 y/o, before he reaches 21 y/o. How many individuals who are 21 and over receiving dental services paid through the Medicaid & still living at home. Remember over 21 & over. My son will not qualify for any dental services when he reaches 21 y/o through the Traditional Medicaid services. He can not be under the Texas STAR+PLUS Program because he is under the CLASS program. Now if he was under the Community Based Alternatives (CBA)then he would be eligible. Once under the HCS program, can not be eligible for The Star Plus program because should I become his caretaker, he is once excluded. My son is still under our private health insurance but he requires to be under anesthesia when due for his dental cleaning, etc. and several places health insurance will not pay for it with the ones I have approached. Wondering about your experience in regards to this topic, what have y'all confronted or any other input to share about this. Sounds like some changes are needed with the people who make these decisions with the Health & Human Services Commission. Thank you, Irma
