Guest guest
I am really in a dither about everything now. I went to see Dr. Yerrington about a month ago. he said my TSH was out of range and I was hyper thyroid. it was 0.02. Ok..he cut down my meds...armour was 2.5 gr and 60 mcg t4. he said to go down to 2 gr. armour and no t4. I did that. Now I have gained four of the 10 lbs I lost which was extremely difficult! He did a bone density and said I had osteopenia - and that too much thyroid is a contributing factor. OK...so Icut down on the thyroid meds. I saw him this week and he did another tsh they called me and said I am still hyper and he wants to cut down on my meds again. he want sme to come in and see him again and bring all my meds and vitamins. I had a bout of feeling hyper when I was having what I think was a bout of thyroiditis, but I certainly don't feel hyper now. I don't believe I have any symptoms of hyperthyroidism. Wouldn't I hve some symptoms? what is the deal with the TSH? Am I correct that if I am on meds, the TSH will be suppressed? Granted, maybe it should not be out of range, but how reliable is it? thanks, steph Stay informed, get connected and more with AOL on your phone.
