Guest guest
I have a friend that I referred last summer to this site, I told her about Dr Bessie Owens and she sees her. She recently told me that see reads the site and has told Dr Owens what she read about her and when people were complaining about her husband and his front desk ettiquette. I was shocked, is it just me or do others here feel this is wrong as we think we are speaking here just amoungst ourselves. Pam
Guest guest
Pam, I would have to agree with you... I may express my feelings about a doctor or the way a doctor treats me and it's my opinion that I might share with good friends. I would hope that someone wouldn't be telling the doctor or person about what I say. That being said, I don't think that I have said anything on here, that I wouldn't say directly to my docotor.. Most of my questions are about others' experiences.. so that I can learn from what others have gone through. Compared to most on this board, I am a relatively newly diagnosed thyroidite.. I also think that I was only experiencing thyroid problems for about the 2-3 years preceeding my diganosis. This board has allowed me to set my standard expectation of care. This board has helped me to establish what I want to achieve and how I prefer to achieve it.. for example, finding a doctor that would treat me with Armour was important to me, especially after reading this site. Because of all the help I feel that I have received on here, I would hate for people to censor what they say for fear of doctor retaliation or the doctor " dropping " them as a patient.. Kind of like breaking a confidentiality? What we say here, I would say to Dr. Owens anyway- I think she is very good with patients, and I really like her husband too, and I have been going to Dr. Owens for about two years. My daughter goes to her too and we both love her and her office staff. They are very caring. Just my two cents. Have a great weekend!
