Guest guest
I'm getting wild rice from Alvin, lately my Ojibwa friends bring me both wild rice and venison in exchange for other things I need done. Can't get more traditional than that. My hubby hated pork chops because his mom made them dried out. One of my favorite recipes is to take Uncle Will's good pork chops and brown them in a dutch oven. Once browned, add wild rice, broth from one of Alvin's old stewing hens. Cover the dutch oven, pop it in the oven on low and slow, and you have a master piece. You can add seasoning to your taste. The better bone broth from the chicken, the stronger taste of the pork, meld into something even better with the wild rice. Restaurants, give Trad. Foods credit if you use this.
