Guest guest
joyce, please see your gastro about this if its not gone by Monday or if it gets worse, you might need to go to the doc.. Pain in the liver is caused from the stretching from the swelling as the liver itself does not have sensory nerves but the capsule around it does and thats where the pain comes from... Are you taking a siliphos-bound milk thistle?joyceann wrote: i have been having stabbing constant pain in my right side all week today i went to dr, since it was a saturday they had a small crew and i just seen any dr, she said my liver was enlarged and thats the pain, i kinda felt like ya i know that so if it isnt gone by mon ill see my reg dr Jackie

Guest guest
Well, hope it’s nothing serious. Yes, stress takes a toll on our body…….I know!! Doing OK. Feel pretty well…still struggling with the rheumatoid arthritis and neuropathy, but working hard to move forward. Don’t go for follow up on hep tx till the beginning of July. Take a few deep breaths and enjoy the day J Dorothy From: Hepatitis_C_Central [mailto:Hepatitis_C_Central ] On Behalf Of joyceann silva Sent: Sunday, May 11, 2008 9:02 AM To: Hepatitis_C_Central Subject: RE: trip to dr today saturday i have about 10 or 11 weeks left, i really dont think i pulled a muscle havent reall down anything strenous or out of the ordinary i am under tremondus stress with father and hisproblems and the home, and just other matters that come upin life, but i am very stressed, anxious , i have enjoyed alot of sitting in the yard this week and taking pictures so nothing strenous, i know everyone says stress isnt good for yr liver dont remem ber why? couldstress cause a pain????? so hows everything with you, love joyce

Guest guest
My liver started hurting 01/04/1995 at 2:46 pm. Been injured a lot so knew this was internal,It took another 10 years to get a half blank answer to why, Heck it took 6 months to find out it was hep even though I told them I found out I had it in 1990 when I gave blood. Anyway I invented my own way to ease the pain. Get a back brace,They make one with just the streachy material and velcro to hold it together, That is best but if you have to get one of the regular back braces cut out all of the hard plastic stuff. What it does is hold in your side just like using your hand to put presure on the liver. It works great and can wear cloth's where no one will know. Worked that way for years and went through about 8 of em. Your's probably won't hurt as long cause I was still drinking at time but it does work very well. Hope this helps Butch > > i have been having stabbing constant pain in my right side all week > today i went to dr, since it was a saturday they had a small crew and i > just seen any dr, she said my liver was enlarged and thats the pain, i > kinda felt like ya i know that so if it isnt gone by mon ill see my reg > dr >
Guest guest
Is it possible that it is gall stones? I've had the pain on the side. Depending on the dr its muscle, gall stones, liver. Sometimes it has been so bad I can't be touched and it hurts to take a breath. I have had pain killers when it gets real bad in the past and have found that they work. Now, when I get the pain I just deal with it and it usually passes within the week. > > > > i have been having stabbing constant pain in my right side all week > > today i went to dr, since it was a saturday they had a small crew and > i > > just seen any dr, she said my liver was enlarged and thats the pain, > i > > kinda felt like ya i know that so if it isnt gone by mon ill see my > reg > > dr > > >

Guest guest
thats a good idea joyce,, to call your doc.. Im sorry that you stopped your milk thistle as it may have kept the swelling down and thereby keep the pain away.. Maybe you can start back on it? Please talk with your doc tho and then let us know what you find out,, ok?hugsjaxjoyceann silva wrote: i was taking the thistle in the beginning but stopped because i was getting over whelmed by meds and all the stuff that goes along with it, it is def somehing going on its just constant jabbing in my side as of today sunday still have it even as i did my dishes this morning i could feel the poking on my right side, yes monday i will call, cause more than 5 days now should of gone awayJackie on <redjaxjm> wrote: joyce, please see your gastro about this if its not gone by Monday or if it gets worse, you might need to go to the doc.. Guest guest
Hello Joyce, If you take a hand towel (Like from the bathroom). Wet the towel and then wring it out. Not to dry- not to wet. Fold it in half. Fold the half in thirds. Put it in a plastic grocery bag and place in the freezer. After it's frozen, put it behind your back on top of your rib cage over your liver and lean back in a comfortable chair. Move the ice pack around till it's on top of the pain. Try to sit like this until pain is gone. This works for me 100% of the time. If your don't want to use drugs (bad for your liver) try this. Keep doing it until the pain goes away and doesn't come back (at least for some time). This will help with the inflammation. My best to you, Jo i have been having stabbing constant pain in my right side all week > today i went to dr, since it was a saturday they had a small crew and i > just seen any dr, she said my liver was enlarged and thats the pain, i > kinda felt like ya i know that so if it isnt gone by mon ill see my reg > dr > > > > > > > Jackie > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
