Unity

I am one in spirit with the worldwide family of God.

When I learn about people in other countries or become acquainted with people in my own community, I feel such joy over what we have in common.

While we may wear dissimilar styles of clothing, have diverse types of interests, or speak different languages, we share the common bond of being God's family. That bond unites us, allowing us to understand one another, share our joys and concerns, and feel compassion for one another.

Although I may not be close enough to offer physical comfort to others, I know that in God we are united, heart and soul. And each day I reach out to hold my worldwide family in prayer, knowing that our oneness in God provides every one of us with all the comfort and support needed.

"Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind."--1 3:8
