Guest guest
Hi Angie & group, Could you answer a question about the Conditioning Emulisfier that you sell? When used in a clear liquid, will the resulting preparation be clear? UltaMaize? Thanks, Pam Nymphaea Soaps, Etc. www.nymphaeasoap.com Re: Gel-like Liquid Soaps ??? It is a new product that is a thickener/stabilizer for emulsions. It's a pretty neat ingredient and can be added directly to (cold) a too-thin lotion to provide a better consistency. I have used it to thicken an easy to make cold-mix shampoo with the the polyglucose/lactylate blend that I sell---(Botanical Rose Shampoo in the formulary). You can also use it as part of your overall formula (see Botanical Rose Lotion in formulary). So, it is an interesting ingredient that is somewhat unique. As far as the liquid soap goes....I don't make liquid soap or use it or even like it, but I do have some that I bought a while back. I have tried the UltraMaize with it and it did not do a good job as a thickener. The Conditioning Thickener-crothix that I have DID thicken it quite nicely. So, I don't know that I would recommend the UltraMaize for liquid soap, but maybe it would work in other liquid soaps??? The Conditioning Thickener-crothix is worth a try too. Or you could switch to surfactants, which is my personal favorite Hope this helps. Have a good day! I know this is a common practice with resellers, but what is wrong with calling it by the given name from the manufacturer so that people know what it is and Maurice and others can answer questions about it?
