Guest guest
Hi Al, With this flare I'm having right now, I'm having chest pain. I was just curious if our chest problems were anything alike. I hope you don't mind comparing notes... My front chest wall hurts constantly. It hurts when I breathe, particularly if I breathe deeply. I feel like I'm a little short of breath, but not terribly. If I lay flat, though, I feel a short of breath. I have that inhaler (Albuterol), but don't feel inclined to use it just yet. It makes me very jittery. Since my sed rate was elevated I feel like this is a bad flare, not the flu. But if I'm not feeling better in the morning, I'm going to go in and see my MD. I've been told by my rheumy, and by the rheumy from the study I'm in, that they feel this is from the RA. It's scary when I get it, though. Did the inhaler they gave you (not the Albuterol, but the other one) give you relief? I'm not allowed to take prednisone while I'm in this study, but maybe I can use the inhaler. I'd have to ask first. I just hate feeling like this. Thanks! Love and hugs, Carol
Guest guest
Hi Carol, I am so sorry to hear that. I do not mind at all if we compare notes. I did not have the pain you describe but was extremely short of breath and had chest tightness. I used Advair because the Albuterol didn't work. It has prednisone in it so you would need another kind of inhaler. It did give me relief. I would definitely call your doctor as soon as possible. I am very worried about you. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Love and hugs, Al
Guest guest
Thank you, Al, and everyone for your love and concern. Words can't express how much I value the friendship we all share in this group. Somehow going through this flare is a little less intimidating when I have such great people on my side. Love to all, Carol [ ] Re: Al - Chest pain Hi Carol, I am so sorry to hear that. I do not mind at all if we compare notes.
